Jai Rupani is a dynamic leader and investment strategist. He currently heads the Dinesh Hinduja Family Office (DHFO). He manages and oversees a diversified portfolio across various asset classes, including real estate, equities, bonds, structured products, private equity, and venture capital. Before assuming leadership at DHFO, Jai played a pivotal role in real estate development at Gokaldas Lifestyle, a fundamental entity within the DHFO group. His strategic direction and expertise were instrumental in shaping the company's growth trajectory in the real estate sector. Jai's extensive experience in the investment landscape is further highlighted by his tenure at True North (formerly India Value Fund), a prominent private equity firm in Mumbai with assets under management of USD 3.5 billion. While at True North, he led significant investments in companies like Meru Cabs, one of India's pioneering taxi-aggregation platforms, and ACT Broadband, a leading IPTV and broadband service provider. Earlier in his career, Jai was an investment banker at The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Capital Markets in San Francisco. Here, he was a vital member of the technology investment banking team, where he managed IPOs, private placements, and M&A transactions, contributing to the success of numerous high-profile deals. Jai holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of his professional pursuits, he is passionate about mentoring startups, enjoys playing golf, and cherishes quality time with his family.
